How do we connect?
You both open the app and tap CONNECT, then hold your phones together. Or send your person an invite link from the same screen, and they tap it to connect. Invites last 24 hours.
The invite link didn't open the app
Some chat apps open links in their own browser. Copy the whole invite message, open Love Will Tear Us Apart, tap CONNECT, then PASTE INVITE.
Holding our phones together doesn't work
Tapping phones needs an iPhone with Ultra Wideband and the app open on both: on the connect screen to connect, or on Home once you're connected. Bring them close; the tops don't need to touch. When iOS asks to find devices on your local network, allow it, or the tap can't find your person. If one of you doesn't have Ultra Wideband, connect with an invite link, and when the app knows you're close, Home shows PRESS TOGETHER for you both to press.
Pings aren't reaching my phone
Check that notifications are on for Love Will Tear Us Apart in your iPhone's Settings. Pings still show up whenever you open the app.
Can my person see where I am?
No. They only ever see how far apart you are, rounded, and only when one of you pings or heads home. The privacy policy has the details.
Disconnecting and deleting your account
Tap the gear on the home screen. DISCONNECT ends the connection for both of you. DELETE ACCOUNT removes everything we keep about you.
